Las Brisas Landscape Committe
Las Brisas Landsape project consists of eliminating the ivy growing around the buildings and lawn areas in order to save water and lower our water bills.
Our Landscape Committee has been working with a landscape designer and our landscape company to accomplish this. We have also been working with the Santa Clara Valley Water District to obtain rebates for installing the proper irrigation controllers, drip irrigation and to eliminate lawn areas which take a lot of water. We are also installing native California plants which are all low water plants.
This project will be ongoing for several years until we have converted our whole complex. As a result, Las Brisas has been invited to participate in the 2012 Going Native Garden Tour sponsored by the California Native Plant Society on April 22, 2012. This is a great honor for our Las Brisas Community.
Below are pictures of the first two phases completed in 2010. Phases 3 and 4 will take place in the spring of 2013.
